Q. & A. with Katelynn
Why did you start breeding?
My passion for the Australian Shepherd breed extends from my early experiences with Aussies who I witnessed struggle with behavioral, health, temperamental, and many other issues as a Dog Trainer. This paired with my prior experiences of witnessing the effects of unethical breeding firsthand has given me the passion to do better and to be an advocate for the breed and ethical breeding practices.
What makes your program special?
Solaris Australian Shepherds strives to breed only for the betterment of the breed, aligning with the AKC/ASCA breed standard. Puppies are raised using programs designed to shape and evaluate prospects for their futures in show, performance, herding, service work, therapy work, or as companions.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
