I'm Claire M., the breeder behind Southern Belle Aussies located in Sealy, TX. Welcome to Southern Belle Aussies! We are a small, family raised Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherd program in Texas, dedicated to raising healthy, well socialized puppies with wonderful temperaments and confirmation that compliment the breed. Our dogs are part of our family of six everyday life. We prioritize genetic health testing, excellent dispositions, and giving each puppy the best possible start.

Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding started with a love for Australian shepherds and the joy of having them as part of our family. What began as a passion for these sweet, intelligent dogs grew into a desire to raise well rounded, healthy puppies of my own. As a mom of four living the country life in Texas, I love raising our puppies in a family environment where they receive plenty of love and attention from the very beginning. Southern Belle Aussies is built on my love for the breed and my commitment to raising healthy, well socialized puppies with wonderful temperaments.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised right in the middle of our family's everyday life here in Texas. As a Mom of four, I know how important a dogs temperament is, and I want our puppies to grow up confident, well socialized, and ready to become a cherished part of someone's family. We prioritize genetic health testing, wonderful dispositions, and thoughtful care from the very beginning. For us, it's about more than raising puppies--it's about raising the kind of dogs that become family.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Indy
Indy is truly such a joy and a treasured member of our family. She has the drive, athleticism, and energy to keep up with our busy lifestyle, but also has the sweetest off switch and is always happy to settle in for cuddles inside. Indy is incredibly athletic and fast, with a natural love for fetching and playing in the water. She loves tagging along for ranch chores, going to team roping's, and being right in the middle of whatever our family is doing. Indy is the perfect blend of brains, athleticism, beauty, and a loving family companion, and we couldn't love her more!

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
