Here is are these babies at ✨FIVE WEEKS✨ *everyone LOVES human interaction! *they are all eating two times a day on their own! Still eating from mom as well! *everyone has started to play with the toys we have in there for them! *they are using the puppy pad! (We have moved it away from their bed so they have to put some effort in to use it!) *they have had their first baths and nails clipped and everyone did great! We are just over the moon with these babies. They have been so easy to help along their way with reaching all of these milestones. We are so proud of them and cant wait to continue to watch them succeed!

Here are these sweet babies at ✨FOUR WEEKS!✨ -everyone is MOVING! -they have found their voices 🤭 -they have started responding to their names! -they recognize my voice and get very excited when they hear me! (Their ears and eyes are working well, and they are also handling human interaction beautifully!) This next week is full of new transitions for these beautiful babies to help them slowly gain that independence from mom. So far everyone is handling it all beautifully as they have with everything else thus far 🥹💜

We have taken a pause from our page for a few days.. On Tuesday April 7th our dogs broke free from a gate in our fenced in area. With them all going in different directions we unfortunately lost track of one. Beans. Our sweet baby angel girl. We searched for over and hour before we started reaching out to social media. We searched our entire property, through the woods, the field, ravines, ditches, thick brush, all of it calling and hoping to find her. We posted signs all over the neighborhood and surrounding area. For two days we searched, posted constantly and lost sleep over our sweet girl. As of lastnight, SHE IS HOME!!!! A sweet wonderful family right across the street has held onto our girl for us this entire time. She wasn’t lost or alone or scared. She was being loved, fed, and cared for the entire time. And as soon as they saw our signs they called and brought her home. We cannot thank them enough and will happily be working with them hopefully soon over a baby of their own for their family! We are over the moon to have our sweet girl home, and so is our daughter, and all of our other babies. BEANS IS HOME!!! 🥹

Elizabeth T.
Here are these babies at ✨THREE WEEKS✨ • everyone’s eyes and ears are open! •still gaining weight every day! •starting to “wobble” around their nursery! •responding to lights and sounds! (We know everyone can hear and see!) All of them are still absolutely wonderful and thriving. We have started to handle them more and they are tolerating it so well! Next week we will transition them from their “newborn” nursery to a “toddler” nursery with a smaller bedding area and more defined spaced for play, sleep, eating, and going to the potty! Which we will introduce slowly as their mobility increases! We are so excited to really start to bond with them and see their personalities show!

Here are these babies at ✨TWO WEEKS✨ -everyone is eating and gaining weight as they were lastweek! -ears are open! -eyes are starting to open! -they are finding their voices! -starting to move around their bed! Everyone is doing so so well and the sweetest little things. We are so excited for this next week to really start seeing those individual personalities start to show!

Here are the babies at ✨ONE WEEK✨ -everyone knows how to eat off mama and does an amazing job -they all sleep, go potty, at eat all day long! (Which is exactly what they are supposed to be doing!) We will start watching this upcoming week for eyes and early to start opening and once that happens we will stay seeing individual personalities start to show! Everyone is doing absolutely amazing and so is mama! We are so proud and so incredibly in love 🥹

Everyone gained weight throughout the day. Our special tiny boy only being supplemented once today gaining a whole ounce since this morning all on his own. 🥹 All babies are finding their grove with life in those first few days and they are doing exactly what they are supposed to. We are so incredibly proud of them and mama. 💛

Our experience with Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful. I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. Her communication, attitude, and the care that she showed throughout the entire time was top tier. Our sweet little Sipsey is the best puppy. Her personality and health has been exceptional since we brought her home. She is a smart girl and only took a few days to find her footing in her new home. That shows a good animal pedigree. I have had other dachshunds before and know the breed well. When we are ready for another, we will definitely be contacting Elizabeth. I would recommend Southern Drawl to anyone.

I was in the market for a dachshund and I found the perfect match with Elizabeth. Cash is the sweetest boy and is a very loving companion. Elizabeth was a huge help in the whole process. She helped answer all my questions and gave me good knowledge on the dog.

Southern Drawl exceeded my expectations. Not only was the process of getting Lulu amazing, they are still there for me whenever I need help or advice now, 2 weeks after I brought her home. They sent weekly pictures of my baby girl and updated me on all the changes she experienced each week!! Such an amazing breeder. She came to me already pretty fully potty pad trained and was already so good in her crate. She’s so great. I love my little spicy sausage and know I’ll be back if I ever want a sibling for little Lu!! Definitely recommend them and know your baby will be so well cared for during the first 8 weeks, and they’re always there for you afterwards!! Couldn’t imagine getting my new addition anywhere else.

We picked up our puppy, Honey, this month and have felt like we’ve known her since the day she was born. Elizabeth kept us updated every step of the way, from week one to pickup day, with photos, videos, and complete transparency about how Honey was doing. We received updates after vet visits and learned so much about Honey’s personality and progress along the way. Elizabeth also sent us home with goodies, items that smelled like her momma, and all of the documents we needed. Any time we had questions while preparing for our puppy, she was quick to provide helpful information and reassurance. We cannot recommend Southern Drawl enough. It’s clear our puppy was loved from the very start, and now that love continues with us. Thank you, Elizabeth!

I adopted my precious mini dachshund, Henry, from Southern Drawl Dachshunds, and it was the best experience. They provided me with weekly updates on my little boy, photo shoots so I could see his growth, and were such a help to me as Henry is my first puppy. Everyone I introduce Henry to LOVES him. They comment on his beautiful coat, his handsome face, and his precious personality. Honestly, ALL of his littermates are beautiful. When the time comes to get Henry a buddy, I’ll definitely be calling on Southern Drawl Dachshunds.

Elizabeth was so easy to work with! I had gotten another puppy 8 weeks prior and knew that I wanted two to raise together. I happened to see a tiny little 3 day old black and tan long haired girl on Elizabeth’s page and I knew she was the one! Cozy is the funniest, most adventurous, lovey, all in dog I’ve ever known! She’s obsessed with me and her sister and is easy! She has the best temperament and she’s sturdy, she made it through teething without even batting an eye. I love her to pieces and couldn’t imagine my life without her!
