I'm Amy S., the breeder behind Southern Dream Retrievers located in Huntsville, TX. Our dogs are outstanding competitors and hunters. We are proud to continue their line. We breed both to provide families with loving and capable companions and to improve upon our dogs' fantastic traits with each generation.
Q. & A. with Amy
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because I love the Labrador Retriever breed.
What makes your program special?
All of the girls are genetically tested through PawPrints and have OFA certifications for hips and elbows. The puppies are raised in the home until about four weeks. Then, they move to the toddler building where they become exceptionally well socialized. They are started on potty training and crate training when they leave for their forever homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
