I'm Brittany D., the breeder behind Southern Indiana Mini Aussies located in Washington, IN. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was raised by my grandpa who is a veterinarian and worked for him my entire life. I have always been around dogs. Working in the vet clinic got me interested in breeding so I could try to breed healthy dogs by doing genetic testing on parents before breeding begins. I want dogs to be healthier and live longer for their forever families.

  • What makes your program special?

    You will have lifelong contact with me. I will always be available to help you and give advice, no matter if your dog is 14 weeks or 14 years old. I strive to sell you the healthiest puppies and answer you in a timely manner. Honesty is my number one policy also.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
