I'm David E., the breeder behind Southern Staffies located in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Here at Southern Staffies we are dedicated to breeding with the highest of standards. We want to make adopting a puppy an exciting experience so all our puppies come registered with AKC and microchipped with lifetime membership paid so all you need to do is enjoy.   • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always had dogs as I grew up hunting with my father and we bred and trained Llewellyn setter’s and Brittany spaniels. Several years ago my son adopted a “Pit Bull” puppy while away at school in Tallahassee because of the breed he was not able to take him when he moved so we ended up taking care of him and we were introduced to our first Staffie (Tyson).

  • What makes your program special?

    We truly love this breed and we are dedicated to breeding the best puppy with focus on temperament and genetics. They all have full DNA health checks. We also start working on potty training and basic commands and introduced to different sounds and textures so that you get a puppy that’s confident well-adjusted. We consider all of our puppy parents as part of the Southern Staffies family

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include brindle and white, white and red, white and fawn, red, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from David

David has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

David partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We take great care in placing our puppies in the best homes. Although color is nice it’s now important to match the right personalities. We offer a live puppy cameras so that you will be able to see them live and watch them as they grow ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes all shots and health certificates. All our puppies come registered with AKC and microchipped with lifetime coverage We also start working on potty training and basic skills. Non-refundable unless other arrangements are made but can be used towards a future breeding.”

Contract & health guarantee

David may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • DNA Disease Panel, L-2-Hydroxyglutaric Aciduria (L2HGA), Staffordshire Bull Terrier Type, Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
