Where to start……………2023 My husband and I was looking for a new addition to our family a couple years ago and we found and fell in love with Biewer Terriers. We located a breeder and bought a precious little baby girl. We loved her with our whole heart and she was a true joy! This breed is a wonderful loving and smart breed full of spunk and life. Unexpectedly, we lost her after about a year and a half due to a congenital heart issue. We were devastated! We contacted to our previous breeder to begin looking for a new puppy and found that “business practices” had changed drastically since we purchased our first Biewer Terrier. That being said, we realized this was not a place we wanted to work with. Realizing even more, after losing our little girl, how important responsible breeding was we were also very concerned with genetic and health testing. As we began to research a new breeder and do our due diligence, we found a beautiful baby online. I read reviews and contacted the breeder (Southern Star Biewer Terriers) and began my exchange with Richard. When I contacted Richard and asked questions regarding the puppy’s (Mackenzie) parents, health records, etc. His response to my inquiries was very prompt and thorough. He sent health records, photos and videos moments after asking. As considering a puppy purchase from another state, I was nervous, as I would hope everyone would be in todays world. He eased a lot of concerns. He is very transparent with his breeding practices and as a responsible breeder, he also asked that we send in an application before considering us a s new parents. This again reassured us that we were looking in the right place for us and our new family member. Richard is a very genuine person and really cares about his breeding and in particular, this breed. You can tell he really cares about raising happy, healthy, well adjusted little blessings. He loves his adults makes them a part of his family. They are not just a source of income, they are his family. When we decided to get our little girl from him, he was very accommodating and assisted us with plans to come pick her up. Richard and his wife delivered her to me at my hotel. They were very thoughtful and considerate of Mackenzie bringing her medical records, toys, food and blanket for her journey to her new home. Upon receiving her, I fell in love immediately! Mackenzie is very confident, energetic, fearless and loving. (All a byproduct of a loving and caring home). We were anxious to have her meet her new doctor (vet) because of our previous experiences and we were not disappointed. We requested our vet to run a full panel of blood tests, heart test, fecal test, urinalysis, knees, hips, joints, eyes and ears were thoroughly checked. All her tests came back perfect! She is perfect! In conclusion, We believe that Southern Star Brewer Terriers are a very reputable and loving breeder. I would recommend any of my friends and family (and anyone reading this long review) to very seriously consider Southern Star Biewer Terriers to help you find your new family member. I believe they are doing an amazing job. Since we have gotten home with Mackenzie, Richard and I have touched base a few times. He cares about how she is doing even after her balance of her purchase price was paid. I love it! He really does care and delivers what he promises to the best of his abilities.

Richard was fantastic to work with! He answered any question I had and this puppy is wonderful! The puppy is so well behaved. Out of all the dogs I’ve known throughout my 30 years of life, this puppy is probably the best behaved at this age (11 weeks) that I’ve ever seen. The puppy (still figuring out his perfect name, but leaning towards “Murphy”) is extremely kind, joyful, playful, loving, and all around wonderful! Richard had sent me a video of Murphy the week before I picked him up and it was so nice to see how responsive and active he was. This little pup has been such a blessing in my and my families lives! My elderly grandparents are so happy when I bring Murphy to visit them. Murphy is happy, healthy, hardy and energetic, and has been amazing at adjusting to sleeping at night in his new home. Richard and his wife sent a goody basket of items for the pup and that was so kind and thoughtful! Murphy has really appreciated the toys and comforts from his first home. I definitely recommend this breed, as well as Richard as a breeder. I had never used Good Dog before, but I felt so secure using them when connecting with Richard and paying for Murphy. This has been such a wonderful experience and I hope others will get to feel the joy of bringing home a Biewer Terrier from Richard!

My parents and I adopted two puppies from Richard back in February. I’m not exaggerating when I say we’re absolutely IN LOVE! Richard did an amazing job! He started the puppies potty training, prepped them for long trips home, and even gave us each puppy gift baskets with food, treats, toys, blankets, and all relevant medical records and pedigree documentation when we picked up our forever pups. My puppy, Riot, is the sweetest, smartest, and most adorable little man! He’s full of personality, loves to cuddle and play, seldom barks or has accidents, and has taken to all the training so easily. He plays well with other dogs, but is still very human focused. He gets compliments everywhere we go, especially at the airport. He travels beautifully on a plane, even when we’ve had long layovers. I really can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Richard and our puppies. If and when it’s time for my next puppy, Richard will definitely be getting a call!

Richard was awesome, helpful, informative and super accommodating. We got a little girl from him and could not be happier she is a gorgeous little bundle of joy. The welcome package he sent her home with was just another example of of how he cares for his puppies. I highly recommend looking at his babies if you want a quality dog.

I started looking for a new puppy in January and met Richard on Good Dog in June. I watched his litter grow from week one. He was polite, kind and patient with me even when I couldn’t decide which puppy I wanted. We texted, talked and FaceTimed with the puppies several times. He gave me information on the breed and his program. I brought my baby home on August 9th. She is litterbox trained and was fetching the ball on day 2. You can tell that Richard and his family spent a lot of time with puppies and she is very well rounded! I would recommend Richard to anyone wanting a puppy!

I purchased my Biewer Terrier puppy from Richard through the Good Dog website, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Richard was extremely professional, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with. He made the entire process easy and seamless, providing all necessary paperwork along with treats, food, and other goodies for our new pet. In my excitement upon meeting the dog, I accidentally overpaid him by $500. Without hesitation, he immediately contacted me to refund the excess amount. His honesty and integrity truly stood out, and I highly recommend working with him.
