Meet the breeder

I'm Carena B., the breeder behind Spots N Splashes located in Colton, OR. At Spots N Splashes, we’re passionate about raising versatile, intelligent Australian Shepherds who thrive far beyond the farm. Our Aussies have proven themselves in agility, livestock work, trail adventures, service animal training and most importantly—as loving family companions.

Q. & A. with Carena

  • Why did you start breeding?

We discovered that Australian Shepherds adapt well to changes in their living environments and form strong bonds with their families. Their learning ability and high intelligence inspired us to share this remarkable breed with our community.
  • What makes your program special?

We’re not your typical breeder. Every matting is specially pick and planned with a high focus on health integrity. Our pups are raised inside our home and exposed to a wide variety of experiences—children’s play, cats, horses, other dogs, cars, and everyday sounds of traffic. This hands-on, family-style upbringing shapes confident, well-rounded dogs who are ready to adapt to any lifestyle.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
