I'm Joanna S., the breeder behind Spring Water Labs of the Carolinas located in Taylors, SC. Our dogs & puppies are dearly loved, happy & stable, health screened, socialized & trained. We make the world a better place, one puppy at a time! I love producing puppies that will enrich their family for the next 15 years! Some of the proceeds go to non-profits. You can pick which one we give to!

Why did you start breeding?
I love the Lab's unrivaled loyalty, intelligence, dedication, & love of fun. I believe everyone benefits from loving & being loved by a dog. I have each puppy for 5 of the 8 stages of the dog's entire life! What they experience in those 5 stages will stay with them for life. My program & care help them be even more confident, loving, & loyal than even genetics can. It's nature AND nurture here!What makes your program special?
The personal touch. It’s personal, not business for me. I get to be part of that amazing process to fill more people’s lives with the joy of being loved by a Lab. I also make daily videos to share the wonder of watching your puppies grow. I’m a careful, dedicated, and nurturing breeder who has studied dog genetics and healthy puppy rearing in order to give others the best possible 4 legged friend.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Getting a puppy from Joanna
Joanna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Joanna partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“Some of our puppies are chosen for a life of helping their humans do a specific task. For this purpose, temperament and ability is assessed before assigning puppies. I begin this process as early as birth, but it isn’t complete until closer to 5 weeks of age. ”
Price
“Wellness visit, first vaccine, deworming, AKC registration, a puppy basket, socialization using the Avidog method, training with Rule of 7 and Early Neurological Stimulation. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or gender.”

About Sugar
Sugar has a great drive and agile body. She was made for running, swimming, and retrieving, the perfect temperament for a hunting buddy. Surprisingly, she has an incredible “off switch” and is happy for hours just sitting next to us. She loves to please and is incredibly loyal. Her love language is touch. She loves to be touching us in some way with her “lab lean.” She is incredibly smart and can learn a new trick in minutes.

Cinnamon is a gentle soul. She has plenty of energy to keep up with any hike, swim, or climb, but she’s quite comfortable being a snuggle buddy. She has the perfect temperament for a therapy dog. She’s a loyal, smart, and laid back girl whose love language is to lick/kiss her family. She is quick to learn and quick to please.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

If anyone is looking to get a lab they should look at Spring Water Labs bc Joanna goes beyond most breeders in preparing your new family member, or members in our case, to fit right into your home and their new world. We have a large family around us and the puppies have done a wonderful job socializing with friends and family!!!! I’m having a great time working with them, they’re smart and very aware of their surroundings. However, we are going to start with a personal trainer the middle of July bc I was unaware of littermate syndrome and it is real! They may take a bit longer understanding how I fit into their bonding click and who will keep them the safest🥴 but they’re really smart so I have a lot of hope for them!!!!!❣️
