Meet the breeder

I'm Alyssa D., the breeder behind Springdale Australian Labradoodles located in Greensboro, NC. Located in Greeensboro, NC, we breed Multigen Australian Labradoodles. Our dogs live as family members and are incredibly loved, trained and extensively health tested. We strive to ensure that every family and their puppy has a strong foundation for a successful and rewarding life together.

Q. & A. with Alyssa

  • Why did you start breeding?

We decided to start breeding after waiting over a year to bring home a non-shedding Australian Labradoodle puppy for our children with severe pet allergies. We have always been avid dog lovers. Australian Labradoodles are truly amazing with gentle temperaments and very social. We decided raising healthy, beautiful, well-loved and health tested puppies was our passion.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise our babies in our home loving on them every single day. We do Early Neurological Stimulation starting at 3 days old and at 3 weeks we begin habituating them to loud, abrupt noises–a perfect time to help them learn resilience because their fear period has not begun. Check out our videos of our puppy play areas and our cool therapy toys on our website! We are raising amazing family dogs!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel, caramel red, red, apricot, cream, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Alyssa

Alyssa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Alyssa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Our puppy matching process ensures we pair a puppy with the right family based on lifestyle, temperament, and needs. After temperament testing is completed by our certified trainer at 7 weeks old, we will ask your family to send us a list rating all the puppies in the litter in order of visual and personal preference match (color, coat, gender, size). Puppy Matches are then made based on temperament test results to match: - Family lifestyle vs. puppy’s needs - Family composition (kids, other pets) - Experience level (some pups need more experienced handlers) - Desired activity (companion vs. hiking buddy vs. therapy dog potential) Puppies are matched to families in the order that the initial deposit/reservation was received and based on the preferences given in the original application and during the phone interview. Families are invited to join specific litters based on these personal preferences but changes to those preferences can not be guaranteed once a family has joined a specific litter. Our #1 Goal is your overwhelming happiness and joy! We are always hopeful to match a puppy in your top preferences but we are hopeful you fall in love with them all so we can match the best temperament for your family. This process also allows us to manage the matching process so no family on the litter has “last pick” . It’s a win for you and for your puppy! If your family is not overjoyed with the puppy they are matched with, the family may choose to defer to a future litter with availability that will match their personal preferences.”

I’m honestly grateful that I discovered Alyssa & Springdale Doodles on FB, because this was the best possible breeder!!! She was so communicative throughout the entire process and really listened to me (I’m a person with a lot of questions). Alyssa is so sweet but also extremely knowledgeable on this breed—you can tell that she truly LOVES these doodles & that it isn’t just a profession. My Hermione was thoughtfully matched to me and she fits perfectly into my little household with my senior dog. I can’t even say thank you enough for raising such a perfect pup. I’ve told my coworkers, family members, and friends that Springdale is the best place for a new furever friend!
