I'm Jessica S., the breeder behind Stapp's Australian Shepherds located in Trail, OR. AKC/ASCA , both parents have clear panels, Mama has OFAs done, mama's OFHs results are excellent hips and good elbows. Both parents are excellent with kids, cats, other dogs. Puppies have been exposed to same. First vaccinations, worming and ready for new forever homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My dog enthusiast daughter, got an Australian Shepherd with the hopes of breeding her and showing her. We have a wonderful mentor who has educated us and cared for us and the dogs every step of the way. My daughter has earned a title with her dog and is an active member in ASCA and a showmanship campion and Rally Dog 4H member.

  • What makes your program special?

    We offer a variety of experiences for our puppies with exposure to all different types of animals, including livestock. Our puppies are used to lots of handling including handling by children. We use our 4H experience to begin training our puppies.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
