I'm Jessica D., the breeder behind Star Aussies located in Star, ID. My husband's original female puppy's mother was on the original ASCA web. I have had the blessing of caring for many Aussies in my home throughout the years. We have 4 children who love, play, snuggle and help care for each pup. We are located in Star, Idaho and Sacramento, Ca.

Why did you start breeding?
We are a family owned and operated Australian Shepherd breeding business that has been running since 1979. My husband's original female puppy's mother was on the original Australian Shepherd Club of America web. My in laws continued the line beginning in 1979, until they passed the breeding over to my husband and I in 2015.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“The price includes the guarantee, first round vaccinations, deworming and puppy socialization. Deposit is to hold your puppy. Remaining balance is due on pick up day.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
