I'm Emily B., the breeder behind Star B Cattle and Aussies located in Russellville, AL. We are a farm family striving to raise quality pets for others. We have 2 females and 1 male. Our dogs go everywhere on the farm with us. They love to ride the ATVs and check the cows as well. We train all basic commands from an early age and believe that this is for their best interest, especially living on a farm. All our dogs are up to date on vaccines and on monthly prevention.
Q. & A. with Emily
Why did you start breeding?
I have had dogs my whole life. When I got into practice, I saw so many back yard breeders with terrible dispositions and attitudes. I wanted to set an example of responsible breeding.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are raised in my home and loved by my husband and children. They get socialized and exposed to a lot before leaving my home! I want each puppy to leave feeling confident and prepared to excel in his or her forever home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Good level
Star B Cattle and Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
