I'm Nicholle P., the breeder behind Star N Cardigan Corgis located in Rigby, ID. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. Why did you start breeding?
I love the breed and want more people to know about them. Everyone is familiar with Pembroke corgis, but not many know of Cardigans. I fell in love with the breed after getting my first cardigan, Maple. She is an incredible dog and absolutely fantastic with my children. I wanted to introduce more people to the breed.What makes your program special?
Puppies are raised in my home, we do ENS training from day 3 - 16. They are raised around my children, horses, cats, and other dogs. Once their eyes and ears open I play a loop of country music, thunder storms, and fireworks noises to introduce them to sounds that typically scare dogs. My parent dogs are health tested to ensure the puppies are free from any genetic health conditions.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle and white, sable and white, red and white, black and white, brindle merle and white, blue merle and white, and brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nicholle
Nicholle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nicholle partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Puppy parents who have applied and been accepted are able to pick out their puppies once they are between 2 and 3 weeks of age. Choices go in order deposits are placed. ”
Price
“Price includes AKC registration, first vaccinations at 8 weeks of age, deworming, and comprehensive health exam by a veterinarian. The deposit goes towards the price the puppy. If you are unable to get your puppy or you change your mind the deposit is non refundable but can be applied to a different puppy in a future litter if you would like.”

About OLIVE
Olive is such a sweetheart! She is very quite and more timid than the other females. She gets along with everyone and loves to be next to her people. While the other dogs go and play she often comes back to hang out with me regardless of what I am doing. She is a huge love and the best momma dog!

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+4Nicholle had amazing communication and flexibility during this process. She answered all my questions and met me at the airport to handoff Donald (AKA Mr. Marbles). Along with him, she gave the cutest little goody bag with food, a cute blanket, and toys which I appreciated so so much! The process was easy, our trip back to El Paso was “ruff” but I had the best travel buddy and he has made himself right at home with me and my Pembroke. The 700 mile drive home from Star N Cardigans made it obvious to me that Raj and I were going to get along. He was so mellow and curious and relaxed, I sensed that he had known much kindness and careful attention during his first months. Nicholle is a delightful person to know; thoroughly engaged and supportive in her work for and with her very choice Cardigans. She outfitted my pup with a whole array of supplies to launch him into the world . . . even a handsome blanket scented by his mother and litter mates! In the first 8 weeks of his life at Star N kennel Raj learned a lot about affection and good manners. Nicholle also discerned that he has a sort of innate puppy patience, or thoughtfulness, a habit of pausing to observe a situation before engaging it. He also is nimble and playful . . . and very curious about the critters and birds and scents around our small horse ranch. I am very grateful for this fine companion Star N Cardigans has provided us: so well bred!

Nichole is amazing! She is very knowledgeable about Cardigans and is very well versed in animal care overall. Nichole and her family are amazing Cardigan Corgi breeders. Our Stella is very healthy and the most well adjusted, and sweet puppy we have ever had. It really helps knowing that the puppies are loved and handled by the whole family, in a real home and not just raised in a cage. It really shows! You can tell by her sweet disposition, and how she was completely comfortable in our arms and laps. Not one peep out of her at night! We put her down in her crate and get her up once to potty. She never makes a sound and her crate is dry . Nichole and family, thank you for doing such a great job with these puppies!! We are totally satisfied and blessed with our little Stella.

Nicholle was super responsive and shared pictures weekly and coordinated with me in advance to get the brindle coat I wanted. It was a 4ish month process waiting for a litter and then getting the puppy but he’s healthy and settling in well.
