I'm Laynee H., the breeder behind Starr Dashing Dachshunds located in Elkhart, TX. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding from my boyfriends grandmother.

  • What makes your program special?

    My breeding program is special because I take great pride in what I’m passionate about and I’m very passionate about dachshunds. I have amazing puppy packs and will make sure your puppy is ready for its new home before they come to you. Our puppies are very socialized. I want you to continue to buy puppies from me, so I take great care in my customers and their needs, as well as the puppies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, brindle, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Laynee

Laynee has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $400 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes puppy pack, registration fee, all worming and vaccinations, registration papers. We can also microchip puppy if wanted. All of our puppies will be different prices depending on coat length, color, and gender.”

Contract & health guarantee

Laynee may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Layne was a pleasure to work with and she kept me up to date with Buster during his first weeks with her. This was my first experience with a reputable breeder and she made it go so smooth.     Laynee was wonderful to work with! She was quick to respond to each of my inquiries and kept me updated with pictures and videos on my fur babies growth. My vet gave Pickle a clean bill of health and even complimented him on his unique coloring.
