Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer S., the breeder behind Stewart’s Standards located in Troy, VA. Every puppy we raise is adored as part of our family from birth. Our puppies will complete your home, your family, and your heart! We are a small, family-run breeding program focusing on quality care and good health. Our puppies are the perfect loving and loyal companions!

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bred Golden Retrievers 20 years ago and stopped to raise my family. Now that my kids are older I can return to my passion of raising healthy, intelligent, well socialized puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed with a focus on temperament. Every puppy lives in my home where they are exposed to kids and other pets. We perform ENS and ESI training from 3-16 days to ensure puppies are off to the best start. Both parents are cleared of genetic disease through Embark DNA testing and mother is pennhip certified.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue, red, silver, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
