I'm Rachel L., the breeder behind Stone Shoe Ranch Labs & Dairy Goats located in Latrobe, PA. An Animal Science Major from Penn State, our goal is to improve upon our genetics and produce quality family labs & dairy goats. This starts way before birth with genetic testing and prenatal care. Focusing on temperament, longevity, and performing. Part of our family until transition to yours.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding labs originally and love them. Took a break having a family. We raise one litter of Aussiedoodles which are a great family dog and low to no shed. Now, we are now strictly focusing on raising labrador retrievers.

  • What makes your program special?

    We believe in exposure to family life for our puppies. They are around everything from farm animals to vacuum cleaners. They are handled by kids and exposed to grooming as it is part of their life. We try to prepare an intelligent healthy family companion for your home. Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) training from days 3-16, and it really sets them up for a great life in addition to our other care.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Rachel

Rachel has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rachel partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are from genetically disease tested parents to be cleared. Puppies will be exposed to children, love, loud and household noises along with grooming tools. They will have health certificates, dew claws removed, first vaccines, worming, & microchips placed by veterinarian. Deposits on limited registration AKC puppies non-refundable unless their is a health issue with the puppy prior to placement. In this case, deposit is discussed or transfered another puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Rachel may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
