Meet the breeder

I'm Dianna S., the breeder behind Stoneroad's Yorkies located in Wesley Chapel, FL. We are a small family-run breeding program close to Tampa FL. We focus on health and quality for our Yorkshire Terrier pups. The parents and puppies are cared for in a clean and safe environment and provided with a ton of affection and playtime every day. They are exposed to various household sounds and stimulation. We care for our Yorkie mom and dad as holistically as possible and provide them with top quality food, treats and preventative flea, tick, and heartworm. We also make sure all required vaccinations are up to date. Our Yorkie mom and dad are walked daily. Puppies are fed a high quality puppy food and receive deworming at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks. They will receive their first set of vaccinations at 8 weeks with a fecal exam and a complete physical. Each puppy will come with a health certificate and a contract with a health guarantee. We will also provide a starter sample bag of food, a familiar blanket with the scent of littermates, and familiar toys to aid in their transition to their new home. Our goal is to find the right home for each pup where they will be loved as much as we love them.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I owned a female Yorkshire Terrier in 1991 that I bred. She was my first baby before having human babies. Since then I have owned various breeds including a Newfoundland and a Boxer. After downsizing our home and wanting a breed that had a much longer life span, we decided on a Yorkshire Terrier again. We got our male Yorkie two years after our boxer passed away. We decided not to have him neutered since he was such an awesome dog so we kept the door open in case we wanted to breed. A couple years later we decided he needed a companion and got our female Parti Yorkie. Many people, including our Veterinarian, said we should breed them since they were such beautiful and healthy dogs. Our male (while Traditional) also carries the parti gene. Their first litter of five, included two traditional and three Parti's. Our female was such a great mama to her pups that we have decided to breed them again. Their current litter includes six males.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are not over run by too many dogs in the home. Our dogs receive care and love just like they were our human babies. We keep our dogs up to date on necessary vaccinations and do not over vaccinate. We use as much holistic preventatives as possible and avoid dangerous yard treatments as well as any poisonous plants. Our dogs are played with often through out the day and taken outside to play and walk daily. We feed them high quality dog food as well as freeze dried raw food, and some safe human food. When riding in a vehicle they have safe dog seats and carriers. Our vets are continuously impressed with the health of our dogs as we take preventative measures like caring for their teeth daily, and keeping their immune systems strong. We can provide references from our first litter and we include a contract for your protection.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include parti and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $2,975 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes tail docking, dewclaws removed, first shots, deworming, health certificate, socialization, and contract with one year health guarantee. The deposit can be transferred to another puppy in the same litter but is non-refundable.”

    From the moment we set our eyes on our little Boochie from the website, the magic happened. We are so lucky to have had Dianna and Dale from Stoneroad Yorkies as our breeder. Dianna’s professionalism and follow up was off the charts. The very next day she contacted us first by email, then later that day we set up a FaceTime call so we could see our prospective puppy live. We have never had experience with a puppy before so Dianna and Dale walked us through everything to expect and provided updates and pictures so we could watch our little Boochie grow up before our eyes. Preparing our home for Boochie’s arrival could have become confusing, but once again Dianna was there with her suggestions and recommendations of what we needed from beds, playpens, to foods, treats and toys and even the toilet tray and pee pee pads. She was there to answer all of our questions and concerns every step of the way. If i could, i would rate this breeder 100 stars!

    Stoneroad's Yorkies has been absolutely awesome to work with regarding the purchase of our puppy. Dianna answered every question quickly and thoroughly. She cares deeply about her parent dogs and their puppies. She provided additional pictures of our "Harley" and kept us updated on his progress. Also provided additional pictures as the date for pick up came closer. We chose to meet half way for pickup and she and her husband were awesome. If there were a scale of 1-10, Stoneroad is absolutely a 10 and 5 stars. Thank you for our little love bug!!!
