Q. & A. with Kathleen
Why did you start breeding?
My coworkers encouraged me to start my breeding program and I was grateful for the push! My goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Dachshund will continue to thrive for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
I truly love the Dachshund breed and am dedicated to looking out for the breed as a whole. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and conformation of my puppies. I can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to adopt one of these wonderful dogs. I love what I do and truly want the best for my pups and their future families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Kathleen went the extra mile for me - literally! She brought my new furbaby to me, complete with all her paperwork *and* a puppy care tote with basic supplies to help us settle in together as seamlessly as possible. Magpie (formerly Apple) is doing great and loves her fuzzy brothers as much as she loves her humans!

Kathleen was an amazing breeder to work with! She was very responsive and you can tell she really cares for the dogs in her program and the puppies. Regular updates with pictures and the willingness to answer any last minute questions were very reassuring. She also left us with a HEALTHY go-bag with a fresh 5lb bag of food, harnesses, blankets, leashes, and a cute note amongst other things. It was very helpful for a new parent. GoodDog made this process very seemless from beginning to end, with over a year a research to finally connecting with Kathleen and adopting our handsome boy, Buddy!
Thanks Kathleen ❤️
