Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer H., the breeder behind StoneyAcre located in Middleburgh, NY. We offer high-quality Shetland Sheepdog and Collie puppies to show and companion homes. Our breeding program focuses on maintaining the unique characteristics specific to these breeds while striving to produce puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. We are proud of our dogs and their puppies, and it is always our goal to preserve and better the breed with each litter.

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with Shelties back in 1993 when my oldest sister got a puppy for her 16th birthday present. When the puppy was 3 months old I started taking obedience classes with her.
  • What makes your program special?

We have our dogs in our home, our puppies are born in our bedroom and moved to living room at 3 weeks old to start being socialized. Puppies receive health check, 1st vaccines and wormings before they are ready to leave for homes.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Collie puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Shetland Sheepdog puppies include sable and white, sable merle and white, blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, and black and white. Collie puppies include sable and white, black white and tan, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
