  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding out of a serious love and respect for the true working Doberman. After owning my first one and seeing their power, loyalty, and sharp intelligence up close — I knew this was the breed I wanted to dedicate myself to.   • What makes your program special?

    What sets my breeding program apart is the combination of honesty, hard work, and a relentless commitment to producing true Dobermans. Every dog in my program is carefully selected for health, structure, drive, and stable temperament — no shortcuts, no kennel-style raising. All puppies are raised underfoot in a hands-on environment, receiving early socialization, exposure, and real-world handling.

    Our puppies are black and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Danny partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Our Dobermans are not for the general public — they are placed only with carefully selected, qualified families. **Qualification Requirements:** * **Stable Living Situation:** Homeownership is strongly preferred. Rental properties are typically not approved. * **Fenced Yard Required:** A secure, physically fenced yard is mandatory for safe exercise and containment. * **Veterinary Commitment:** Buyers must demonstrate a clear plan for routine and emergency veterinary care. * **Time & Lifestyle Fit:** Dobermans require daily interaction, structure, and engagement. Homes where dogs are left alone for extended periods are not suitable. * **Financial Readiness:** The ability to provide high-quality food, training, medical care, and overall maintenance is required. * **Experience Preferred:** Prior experience with working or guardian breeds is strongly favored. **Our Standards:** * We reserve the right to **approve or decline any application** at our sole discretion. * Meeting basic requirements does **not guarantee approval**. * The best interest of the puppy always comes first — not convenience or financial offers. **Lifetime Responsibility:** All Storm Cloud Dobermans come with a **lifetime return policy**. If at any point the owner can no longer keep the dog, the dog must be returned to us. Rehoming, selling, or surrendering to shelters is strictly prohibited. By moving forward with Storm Cloud Doberman Kennel, you acknowledge and agree to these standards and expectations. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit. The remaining $2,500 - $5,500 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“Includes vaccinations, deworming, a vet check. Natural ears: $3,750 Surgical package (tail docking, dewclaw removal, and/or ear crop as applicable): +$750 flat fee. Deposits are non-refundable.”

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Danny has been a total superstar breeder to work with. I have dealt with breeders in the past and Danny has put all of them to shame. The amount of time and effort he put into this litter definitely shows. By the time I brought my puppy home, he already knew how to climb stairs, he was extremely well socialized, not afraid of anything at all. Everything that I braced myself for, because other puppies I’d had in the past reacted negatively to, he totally brushed off. Thunderstorms, bicycles, skateboards, wheelchairs, construction noises, loud motors, lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners, even an insanely loud fire siren that is less than 200 feet from our home, none of it bothered him. He’s a total warrior, and I can’t take the credit for it, it was all Danny! As far as the buying process, Danny is the best of the best. He happily answered any questions I had, and was very helpful in preparing for the puppy and even gave me a list of necessary things to have on hand before the puppy came home. None of these items were unnecessary. He went out of his way to meet me when it came time to take the puppy home, he was in the middle of something, and he made time to meet me to transfer the puppy. Since I’ve had the puppy, he’s been more than happy to answer any questions I’ve had, offer his wise advice when needed, and even just chat about the puppy and how he’s doing. Danny is an exceptional breeder and an excellent steward of the Doberman breed. I would recommend him to anybody who is serious about getting a high quality puppy from a top tier breeder. I cannot say enough good about Danny.

    I highly recommend Danny 100%! The communication has been amazing from start to finish. He is always available to answer any questions and keeps you updated with pictures and videos of the puppies as they grow.
