Meet the breeder

I'm Sam & Kristi E., the breeder behind Storyside Kennels located in Cassville, WI. Storyside Kennels is a small, family-run breeding program in rural WI raising English Springer Spaniels, Springerdoodles, & Aussiedoodles. Puppies are raised in our home using Puppy Culture-inspired practices, including ENS, ESI, daily handling, sound desensitization, and exposure to household life.

Q. & A. with Sam & Kristi

  • Why did you start breeding?

We began breeding after years of owning and working with English Springer Spaniels and wanting to raise healthy, well-balanced dogs with strong early foundations. Over time, our program expanded to include Springerdoodles and Aussiedoodles, following the same intentional approach. Our goal is to raise healthy, confident, well-socialized puppies that become lifelong family companions.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in our home with daily handling and intentional early development, including ENS, ESI, sound exposure, and early crate introduction across all of our breeds. We follow the same consistent standards across every litter, regardless of breed. We intentionally keep our program small so every puppy receives individual attention from day one.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Aussiedoodle puppies are standard size. Springerdoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our English Springer Spaniel puppies include liver white and tan, black white and tan, liver and white, and black and white. Aussiedoodle puppies include brown and white, blue merle, red merle, black and white, and black tri-color. Springerdoodle puppies include white and liver, white and black, liver white and tan, liver and white, black white and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
