I'm SUSAN K., the breeder behind Sue's Poodles and Doodles located in Alberta, VA. All the dogs live in the house as family members and puppies are raised in our home. We raise our puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. It’s important to us that we continue to improve our program and share our knowledge with our buyer families. We want to better the breed through thorough health testing and selective breeding decisions.

Why did you start breeding?
I absolutely love puppies! I had a friend ( or two) that encouraged me to breed and helped me get started.What makes your program special?
My program is special in how we handle our dogs and puppies. All of my dogs are treated as family members and were raised and live in my house. I currently have 8 dogs, and they are all expected to live in peace in the house. They're like my children and are treated as such. Everybody has rules to abide by, including the puppies.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, cafe au lait, silver-beige, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
“The price includes a health guarantee, age appropriate vaccinations, and worming. When puppies are picked up a sample of their current food, a toy, a "crying towel", and AKC/CKC registration application are provided for the pup. Deposit is generally 25% of price of puppy.”

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
