Meet the breeder

I'm Amber V., the breeder behind Sugar Creek Aussies located in Nicholasville, KY.

Q. & A. with Amber

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with Aussies after dinner at a friends house. Their breeder had one puppy left. He was such a sweet boy we decided we wanted everyone to feel that kind of love and joy with an Aussie like him! After months of learning genetics we began breeding! And we love these sweet babies!
  • What makes your program special?

We pride ourselves on producing healthy and quality puppies! I work from home and because of that I’m able to spend a lot of time with our puppies socializing, introducing sounds, baths, and being cuddled! I’m very organized and the binder of paperwork you are sent home with is top notch! It includes registrations, contracts, genetics and vet records! We also send pics, videos and do video chats!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I adopted a male Aussie from Sugar Creek. He was almost two years old, so a bit older than their puppies. He came fully house broken and has a very sweet disposition. The most important thing is that Amber and Sugar Creek made sure he was very well socialized as a puppy. That is so critical with Aussies. My pup is gentle and confident and super social/friendly with all other dogs and people. I have taken him to dog parks, outdoor restaurants, hiking and interacting with neighbor dogs. He is always well behaved and friendly. I would recommend Sugar Creek Aussies with no hesitation. I love my dog!
