I'm Margorie H., the breeder behind Sugar Paws Heavenly Shih Tzu’s located in Havelock, NC. I have been breeding Shih Tzus since 2017. I breed AKC & CKC registerable puppies and offer standard size quality family dogs. Make sure you fill out the entire application.

  • What makes your program special?

    I put a lot of time and money into my adult dogs as well as their puppies to make sure they have the best healthcare available. I work hard to ensure the highest quality in our Shih Tzus so that I can place my puppies in safe, loving, and caring forever homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, liver, blue, gold, blue and white, white, black gold and silver, brindle and white, liver and white, black white and silver, black gold and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Margorie

Margorie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Margorie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Each potential puppy parents is thoroughly vetted first making sure they are a good match for one of my beautiful puppies. I will be asking questions to get a better understanding of what each family is looking for. Not everyone will qualify for a puppy for various reasons. I am looking for families who are in it for the long haul and believe their puppies/dogs are part of their family. These puppies are treasures ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,600 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing will very depending on the breed, colors, markings and size. Each puppy will be evaluated and will be priced individually. Deposits hold your chosen puppy and is non-refundable. Deposits can transfer to another litter if there is an issue with your chosen puppy or of you have to wait till another litter. The deposit also locks in the price of the chosen puppy, unless you have to wait on another litter.”

Margorie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     I don't know how this women keeps things straight. Upon visiting her house to pick up Sammy and Ian yesterday, we were greeted by a multitude of dogs, and she knew each one's names and history. Our heads were swimming. She is definitely passionate about raising her dogs. I'm a little old, but if i outlived the pups, I would indeed work with her again!
