I'm Holly B., the breeder behind Sugarbakers Kennel located in Ocala, FL. We raise adorable, affectionate, versatile puppies, & give them the best possible start for a life of companionship & love! We breed for the breed standard, temperament and health. We OFA & DNA test our dogs and are all clear. We only respond to those who take the time to fill out an application.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We love the Dachshund breed! After the loss of our first dachshund (she came from a pet store because I didn’t know any better) who died from something that was never picked up on, and was avoidable, I decided to breed the healthiest dachshunds possible so no one would have to go through the same thing. We DNA test all of our dogs and offer a health warranty. Dachshunds are our passion & family.

  • What makes your program special?

    At Sugarbakers Kennel, we produce excellent companions. We understand the importance of dog health, temperament, & pedigree, & every breeding decision is made accordingly. We are also constantly improving our breeding program & work closely with top experts & the best veterinarians that specialize in genetics & reproductive health. All of our breeding dogs are shown for confirmation championships.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Holly

Holly has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $1,900 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes health warranty, FIRST vaccinations, microchip, deworming, socialization, puppy starter kit, registration and lifetime support. A non-refundable deposit is due the day the puppy contract is signed. We cannot “hold dogs” without a deposit. Please fill out the application for we don’t respond to automated inquiries."

Contract & health guarantee

Holly may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
