I'm Jennifer B., the breeder behind Summer Moon Bulldogs and French Bulldogs located in Weedsport, NY. We strive to provide healthy, loving pets and beautiful show-quality dogs. Our dogs are health tested, raised in our home and shown all over the east coast. Whether you have one of our puppies or not, we are here to help. Frenchies, Bulldgos and Great Danes are our breeds and providing education about them is our pleasure. Even if you didn't get a puppy from me I am here to help. We are responsible for our puppies for their entire lives.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs and have had many different breeds. I got into breeding by chance. I met a woman in a pet store & she told me I had to show my dog. I didn't even realize what I had. Once I did it I was hooked. Great puppies are just a by product of showing beautiful dogs.What makes your program special?
I do not hide any of my health test results as I will not be breeding any dogs who are not 100% sound. I take a lot of care into making sure my dogs are as healthy and happy as possible, to ensure the puppies are similarly sound.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
