I'm Cheyenne L., the breeder behind Sun Up Kennels located in Nogal, NM. Our dogs represent what a true Aussie is. We value working ability, a sweet disposition, and correct and functional conformation. We breed to unify the “once upon a time” Australian Shepherd and the “once in a lifetime” dog.
Q. & A. with Cheyenne
Why did you start breeding?
Raising good ranch dogs is a natural extension of our cowboy lifestyle. The satisfaction that comes with seeing other people enjoy the dogs we love so much is what got us into breeding.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is made up of dogs that we chose with our work and our family in mind. We really like our dogs! So the distinctive thing about our program is us: the lifestyle we live, the demands of our environment; and the work we put in.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
