I'm Kellie H., the breeder behind Sunflower Yorkies located in Bushwood, MD. We work hard to produce healthy, well-rounded Yorkshire Terrier puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We treat our dogs and puppies like family, and we give each pup all the loving care that we can to prepare them for their forever homes. We are proud of our program and look forward to helping you find your next furry family member!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    2010 started my journey. Ive always had a huge love & passion for animals. I enjoy making people happy while perfecting the yorkie breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $5,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
