I'm Kathleen F., the breeder behind Sunshine Acres located in Anoka, MN. Though we run a small program, we have taken the time to ensure our labs have all the screening necessary to produce high quality labrador retrievers. Using only quality dams and sires they pass extensive genetic testing and have OFA good hips and elbows. Our labs also have excellent temperaments, making them the perfect family dog. Our labs run about our 5+ acre property and live amongst our family of 8 children. Puppies are accustomed to little ones handling them on a daily basis, along with the noises and stimulation of family life.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $750 - $1,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Zoey
Zoey is obedient, docile and very intelligent. She loves laying under a tree observing my children on lay outside. She is gentle and patient with little children. She plays fetch and can easily be walked on a leash by my 4 year old. She rarely barks. She has a perfect blend of energy, active when outside but can lay on the floor or chair for hours inside. She has produced nothing but healthy happy puppies and is simply the best family dog.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
