I'm Sandra C G., the breeder behind Sunshine Sandra & Sweet Sausages located in San Antonio, TX. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and weâre excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.

Why did you start breeding?
In 2009, I bought my first pup, Lady Gabriella, Gabby.What makes your program special?
I try my best to learn as much about the breed. I do hold a degree in business and I minored in biology. I think my favorite dachshunds are the piebalds. Doxies are smart, lovable and eager to please.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Hazel is a chocolate/white longhair mini dachshund. She does have hazel eyes too. Hazel has s sweet, calm disposition until she sees a squirrel. She enjoys being pampered at the groomers, but she hates standing. Haze rather plop down on her belly.

About Peanut
Peanut is a very calm, even tempered and clever dog. She has learned to test the dog playpen latches if open or closed. Peanut loves playing with noisy toys, walk, ride in the car too. She has been a very good mama to her pups.

Little Man is a friendly, sweet and gentle creature. The boy is petite about 9 lbs and a longhair cream color dog. He loves riding shotgun in my car or suburban.

Nina is a gentle and sweet dog. She is a piebald chocolate/white with the most beautiful hazel eyes. Nina loves to sunbathe, take walks and to be held.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
