I'm Kara h., the breeder behind Sunshine Shih tzus located in Fairview Park, OH. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We socialize from day one, raising puppies in our living room with other dogs of all sizes, kids of all ages. I do the puppy 7s and early neuro stimulation from day 2 which helps make for well rounded social pups able to adapt to whatever environment they come across. Grooming training starts at 2 weeks of age , so puppies are used to nails being trimmed and dremeled, eyes, privates and paws shaved , bath and blow dryer , so they are set up prepared for a lifetime of grooming. Car rides and loud noises, all added to their exposure list as well. Puppies go home at 10weeks freshly groomed with a puppy care package including food toys chews momma scented blanket collar leash set vaccine paperwork and 30 days free trupanion insurance.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always had a professional special interest in reproduction. I wanted to put that into motion and raise puppies that will be good representatives of their breed. Make people happy with happy puppies

  • What makes your program special?

    I spend all my time ensuring their well being both physically and socially. I spend the first 4 weeks sleeping literally next to the whelping box. Handling puppies multiple times a day to ensure they are thriving not just surviving. Enlisting family and friends to help socialize and expose puppies to different sights sounds and situations. A well raised puppy turns Into a well rounded adult.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
