I'm Sofia D., the breeder behind Sunshine Yorkies located in Canoga Park, CA. We are a small family that loves these Yorkies. They are great to take with you everywhere and with children. We focus on health and training as much as possible before they go to their new homes. We love keeping in touch with the families that do take these fur babies home with them.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into this breed because of my mom. She has Yorkies as well but unfortunately, wasn't able to breed. I spent most of my time learning from another breeder and that's how I got to where I am today. I love responsibly breeding these incredible pups.What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because I do health tests and training with my dogs before they go to their new homes. It is difficult to start training with a puppy so we try to make it as easy as possible before they go off to their new homes! I take great pride in my breeding program.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Pearl
Pearl is a female Yorkshire Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Sofia decided to make her part of their program. Sofia has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Wisdom Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
