I'm Julie A., the breeder behind Sweet As Pie Doxies located in Gentry, AR. We focus on producing adorable, affectionate Dachshund pups that are healthy and well-tempered. Our mission is to provide you the very best dogs we can, and to select their future home with care.

Why did you start breeding?
My husband and I had always wanted to be breeders of Dachshunds. They are such wonderful dogs. When we found our Stella, we were absolutely head over heels for the breed, just like we knew we would be! We wanted to become hobby breeders, not run a kennel, so that we can provide each pup the love it needs and deserves.What makes your program special?
Our pups live in our home, and are already used to every day lives. Your new pup will go home having been socialized and handled since birth. Each one will have had first shots, dewormer, and vet check.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Julie
Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes first vaccinations, deworming, a vet check, as well as all registration paperwork if applicable,, couple toys, small pup blanket with their mama’s scent, and a small bag of food. $300 non-refundable deposit is required for each puppy purchase. This deposit will be applied to the final purchase price.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Stella
Stella is a chocolate and tan piebald, with a smooth coat. She falls in the unofficial category of “tweenie” on her size. Stella loves car rides, hogging the bed, and hugs! She is just so sweet and loving. Not to mention, the best mama to her babies.

About Peter
Peter is our very handsome boy! He is gentle natured. He loves attention, being held like a baby, and getting belly rubs. Peter has a hunters crest on his head. It looks like a Mohawk, we love it! Also, he comes from a champion bloodline, his grandfather was an AKC CHAMPION and an UKC GRAND CHAMPION. Peter is also AKC registered.

+4The process of finding a breeder I could trust was a difficult one for me. It seemed the more information I learned and the more breeders I looked into only made it more difficult to decide. That being said when I reached out to Julie I was especially hopeful because I instantly had my eyes on River. Julie was quick to respond and was able to do a video call the same night so that I could see both the mom and the puppies. The video call gave me the confidence to put down a deposit and from there it was smooth sailing. Julie provided consistent updates on River's progress and growth making the whole waiting process much less stressful and more fun. Whenever I reached out with a question or concern Julie responded within a couple of hours and was more than willing to provide answers, documentation, and advice. What people probably care about most is the health and quality of the puppies, I am pleased to report that my pup River(Frankie) is doing great. River has received consistently high praise from her vets in terms of her breeding quality, growth, and attitude. There really isn't anything I would change about the process. Very much appreciate Julie.

She sent us videos of our puppy playing with the litter and pictures while we waited for the pick-up date to roll around. Our puppy is healthy as can be, and we are just so grateful!
