Meet the breeder

I'm Anita B., the breeder behind Sweet Southern Doodles located in Holly Pond, AL. Our Goldendoodles and Sheepadoodle are raised with plenty of care and attention inside with us. We love our fur babies so much that we want to share the love. We want to help you add a sweet healthy addition to your family four puppy paws at a time! We start by insuring that they are free of any genetic disorders by testing all parents before they are bred. Then we follow Puppy Culture and BAB that provides training and socialization to these babies before they go to their furever homes. We begin potty training by using litter boxes and introducing them to the crates. They will be dewormed at 2-4-6-8 weeks. They will make a visit to the vet for a health check and clearance and receive their first set of vaccinations. The babies will come home mircochipped, with their health records/vaccinations, dewormed and prevention of parasites, 30 days of Free Trupanion health insurance, litter box trained, started on crate training, socialized, 25% off Baxter & Bella Lifetime Training, 2 year health guarantee against life threatening genetic disorders, and a swag bag full of goodies. Not to mention Lifetime Breeder support from me!

Q. & A. with Anita

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always always had a great love for animals. Growing up we always had family dogs. In our early marriage my hubby and I bred Chows and Sharpeis. That was years ago. I got my first inside pet when my daughter graduated high school and the empty nest syndrome kicked in. I fell in love with my Pomeranian. He is still the King of the House! The only draw back is he sheds like crazy! I always say he should know how much I love him because I deal with the shedding lol. But seriously it can play havoc on allergies. Along came the introduction of the Goldendoodles. I fell in love with the goldendoodle the first time I saw one about 3 years ago. I saw a very large one standing at a counter top looking through the window at our local civic center. Love at first site! I talked about that sweet baby the rest of the day and for several days later. My neighbors that got a standard poodle and she has the sweetest temperament. My mind started racing. The researching and planning began. I wanted to do it the right way. I wanted to insure I was doing everything to produce the healthiest babies possible. I wanted to be a very responsible breeder. I decided my heart was with the fur babies. I got excited and started the journey. Since then Sweet Southern Doodles became a reality.
  • What makes your program special?

We ensure top quality and satisfaction. Our Doodles have our hearts! We want the same for the families that take in one of our pups. We treat them as members of our family and are proud to breed such outstanding dogs. We health test all parents before they are bred to insure there are no genetic diseases that can be detected. You will get a two year health guarantee against genetic disorders. We provide all recommended worming and vaccinations recommended until they go to their furever homes. We raise our babies inside and spend a lot of time with them. Puppy culture is an awesome training protocal that gets your baby off to a wonderful start and ready for you to pick up where we leave off. Early Stimulation is important in the puppy's development and we do this with all of the babies. House breaking can be challenging so we start the process while they are in our care to make the transition easier for you both. We strive to provide healthy, happy, socialized babies with great temperaments that can go on to be long time companions and service dogs. We want to do our best to provide the best for our pups and for your future furbaby.
