I'm Tammie C., the breeder behind Sweetheart Doxies LLC located in San Diego, CA. Please check us out on IG Sweetheartdoxies_llc My dogs are part of my family, and I give that same love to each puppy as I prepare them to join their forever homes. My ultimate goal is to produce HEALTHY, quality dachshunds.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I am a second generation breeder as I was born into the dog breeding/showing/grooming world. Since I was about 5 years old I have been helping raise puppies to go home as perfectly well rounded pups ready to thrive in their new homes. Breeding comes very naturally to me, I have been doing this all my life and I always put my pups best interest first. After all, they are our family and not just a pet 💛

  • What makes your program special?

    I invest alot into my program to make sure I produce healthy, quality puppies. Every single pup that leaves my home goes home ready to thrive in their new home with introduction to crate training, and are potty trained to go outside and use grass pads inside. I will never send a pup to their home if they are not socially ready. I thrive for their health and success even after leaving my care.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate, black and cream, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tammie

Tammie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $3,200 - $4,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"All puppies are sold as limited rights (pet only) at 3600$ with a 24 month genetic health warranty. AKC breeding rights to approved homes only, 4500$ . 400$ deposit to secure furbaby. Non refundable, only transferrable to another litter. If flying furbaby to your local airport, that fee is paid up front as well."

    My experience with Tammie was beyond amazing! My husband and I have been wanting a mini dachshund for over a year. We laid eyes on Grumpy (who we named Willy) when he was only 5 days old. After we paid our deposit, she kept us in the loop - updates if not everyday, every 2-3 days. We got to watch him grow up. She was also very attentive to all of my questions being a first time dog mom and has made the process super easy! Willy is such a sweet, good boy.     Sweetheart Doxies is truly amazing! This was my husband’s and my first experience getting a dog from a breeder, and it couldn’t have been better. During our research, Sweetheart Doxies stood out to us not only because of their commitment to genetic testing for the parents but also due to how active Tammie is on social media. She was incredibly responsive to all our questions and kept us updated during the puppies’ birth, sending us photos and videos a few times a week. You could really see how much love she pours into her dogs. We’ve had our puppy for almost two weeks now, and he’s the sweetest little guy, which speaks volumes about the care Tammie gives.
