Why did you start breeding?
My love for dachshunds started with my childhood dog, Rico. He was my best friend—always cuddled beside me but just as happy following a scent on a hunt. Rico showed me how much heart these little dogs have. That loyal, loving spirit is what inspired me to start breeding dachshunds and share that same joy with other families.What makes your program special?
At Sweetwater Alder, every puppy is raised with intention, patience, and hands-on care. Puppies experience daily interaction, early routines, and gentle foundations that help them grow into confident, loving companions. My goal is to give each puppy the strongest start possible.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

“Price includes first vet visits with shots & deworming, health certificate, toys, scented blanket, food sample, training guide with gadgets, ancestry & genetic results. Price varies by sex & color. All puppies come with AKC Limited, AKC Full is offered to approved programs. The deposit secures your commitment to a specific puppy. Refunds are only offered if the puppy’s health is deemed unacceptable at the time of release.”
