Listening to Lawn Being Mowed But they could have cared less I gave them a blanket they havent had before and that was the it thing! 🚜Today the puppies were exposed to the sound of a lawn mower while relaxing in their puppy pen. The goal of this exercise was to introduce a common everyday noise in a calm, positive environment, helping build confidence and reduce the chance of noise sensitivities as they grow. Interestingly, the puppies were much more interested in the new blanket I placed in their pen than the lawn mower outside. They eagerly investigated the blanket by sniffing, climbing, and playing on it, showing little concern for the unfamiliar noise. Their relaxed behavior and focus on exploring demonstrated growing confidence and an excellent ability to ignore normal background sounds while interacting with their environment.

🙌🏻Confidence Course🙌🏻 First of many and will just keep adding to it as well as set it up outside when they are old and weather allows🥰 🗯Today's Puppy Culture activity focused on building confidence by introducing the puppies to a variety of new surfaces, textures, and obstacles. ⛳️ The course included a balance board, tunnel, bubble wrap, soft faux fur, a curved bridge, and different walking surfaces. 🐾Each puppy was encouraged to explore at their own pace using praise and positive encouragement. ➡️This activity helps puppies develop body awareness, coordination, problem-solving skills, and resilience when faced with unfamiliar environments. Learning to confidently navigate new obstacles now helps prepare them for everyday experiences in their future homes, such as stairs, uneven ground, different flooring, and unexpected objects. ☺️The puppies were curious and eager to explore. They gained confidence with each obstacle and became more willing to investigate new challenges independently. Every positive experience helps create adaptable, confident puppies who recover quickly from new situations. #puppyculture #sheltiepuppy #shetlandsheepdog

✨️First Full Spa Day!✨️ 💧Today the puppies enjoyed their first full bath followed by a gentle blow out. 🐾Bathing and drying at an early age helps create positive associations with routine grooming and teaches puppies that these experiences are safe and enjoyable. 🙌🏻Because they have already had early exposure to things like gentle handling, and other foundational experiences, today’s spa day felt familiar and easy for them. Which then makes it easier on us and enjoyable! 💈Throughout the process, each puppy was gently handled and reassured, becoming comfortable with running water, towels, the sound and airflow of the dryer, and the overall grooming routine. 🎉🎉🎉We couldn't have been more proud of this litter! Every puppy handled the experience exceptionally well 🥰There was not even whining and no resisting. They where so relaxed they laid on their backs for belly washes and blow drying, showing impressive trust, confidence, and resilience. These early positive grooming experiences lay the foundation for calm, cooperative grooming and veterinary care throughout their lives. 🛁🐾

Losing our beloved Sheltie, Calvin, left a huge hole in our hearts. When we finally felt ready to welcome another puppy into our family, we began searching on Good Dog and found Taylor at T Triple C Shelties. They had just welcomed a beautiful litter of Sheltie puppies. One little girl immediately captured our hearts. She had the most beautiful blue eyes, shared my name, and was born on our daughter's birthday. It felt like fate was giving us a gentle nudge. We reached out to Taylor, and after learning more about this sweet little girl, we knew she was meant to be part of our family. From the very beginning, Taylor was wonderful to work with. She was kind, responsive, and genuinely cared about her puppies and the families they would join. Throughout the weeks we waited for Patsy, her new name, to come home, Taylor kept us updated with photos, videos, and Facebook posts that allowed us to watch our little girl grow. Those updates meant so much to us and made us feel connected even from hundreds of miles away. When it was finally time to bring Patsy home, we flew to Iowa, and Taylor's family graciously met us at our hotel. It was clear how much love and care Patsy had received from the moment she was born. We flew home together, and Patsy was an absolute angel on the plane. Today, Patsy is 9 months old and has filled our home with so much love, laughter, and happiness. While no dog could ever replace Calvin, Patsy has helped heal our hearts in ways we never expected. She is everything we hoped for and more, and we are so thankful that Taylor entrusted us with such a special little girl. Our experience with Taylor and T Triple C Shelties was exceptional from beginning to end. We are incredibly grateful for the love, care, and dedication Taylor pours into her puppies, and we wholeheartedly recommend T Triple C Shelties to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized, and deeply loved Sheltie to become part of their family.
