I'm Nevin N., the breeder behind Takota Dogs located in Chesterton, IN. I've been involved with breeding my whole life through my mother's breeding growing up. I've been breeding on my own since 2010. We aim for the best quality meeting the AKC standards. Puppies are socialized, dewormed, vaccinated and given a health check. You may visit the puppies before pick up.
Q. & A. with Nevin
Why did you start breeding?
My mother bred Bichons my whole life. She taught me everything I know about breeding ethics. I look forward to carrying on the strong ethical practices.
What makes your program special?
Our kennel is small. Currently only using our beloved pet. This is our first litter with her and so excited because we haven't had a litter for 4 years. That speaks to were not in it for milling out puppies from the money. We do it for the joy.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
