I'm Kate L., the breeder behind Tamiami collies located in Florida. We are members of the Collie Health Foundation, the Collie Club of America, and the Tampa Bay Collie Club. Let us introduce you to the world of Collies - a wonderful, fun, smart, and family-friendly breed.
Q. & A. with Kate
Why did you start breeding?
We started with Collies in 1998 with our first smooth Collie named Colleen. She was our performance dog who finished her AX and AXJ titles in agility. From that point on we knew that Collies were for us.
What makes your program special?
I take time and care in the puppy's socialization and training. I take them to handling classes, puppy classes when they were younger, and a trainer comes to the house once per week.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
