I'm Julie K., the breeder behind T-Amore Shih Tzu located in North Central Oregon, OR. Health, conformation and temperament are at the forefront of my breeding goals. My breeding program focuses on the AKC standard for the Shih Tzu breed. I raise quality puppies and strive to place them in loving, responsible homes. My goal is to perfectly match my babies with their new people!

Why did you start breeding?
My first Shih Tzu (Tootsie) introduced me to the breed. When she died, I was heartbroken. I eventually found a breeder in Indiana and flew there to pick up my new puppy. We became friends and she helped me start a breeding program of my own. She mentored me about health and temperament and emphasized the care that must be taken to find excellent homes for the new puppies. Thus my journey began.What makes your program special?
In 2005 I realized I wanted to devote myself FULL TIME to my sweet Shih Tzu and their puppies. I retired from my IT job at 50 and moved to the country with my dogs to embark on this new journey. The last 20 years have been devoted to knowing all things Shih Tzu and providing beautiful, loving puppies to people who will give them a wonderful life. I've made many new friends along the way!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, liver, blue, gold, red, silver, silver and white, red and white, liver and white, gold and white, brindle and white, blue and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie
Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Julie partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“I allow buyers to select their own puppy on a first come, first served basis according to your placing on the waiting list. Waiting list members always pick first.”
Price
“The price includes first two vaccines, deworming, microchip, 5-year health guaranty, AKC papers and a vet check. If you will be flying to pick up your puppy, I will also provide a Health Certificate. I WILL refund a deposit if I'm unable to produce a suitable puppy within 6 months. This is the ONLY reason I will refund. If you change your mind or find a puppy elsewhere, it will not be refunded.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Molly is such a loving little girl. She's my little angel and takes very good "care" of me! Her past babies have been very smart. They are protective of their families an great little "watch dogs". Colors come in a wide variety and you can see past puppies for some examples.

Sisi is a mix of sugar and spice! Very sweet and smart. She gets along with everyone and loves to play. She's had one previous litter of puppies and they have turned out to be wonderful dogs for their forever families.

Lizzy is such a sweet girl! She uses her front feet ever so gently to "communicate" with me when we're watching TV in the evenings. She'll put her left paw gently on my cheek to get my attention. And ever since she was out running loose in the house she's begged for "pick-me-up-and-rub-my-tummy" time. Even MORE so now that she's pregnant. With Lizzy as mama and Sonny as Dad, their puppies are going to be VERY loving and gentle.

Bella is calm and loving. She gets along with everyone in the house. This is Bella's first litter snd I expect her babies will be suitable for children and also us "mature" folks too. She's an all-around nice dog and a great representative of the Shih Tzu temperament, which is very adaptable and sweet.

+8We are so very happy that we found Julie! I had been looking for a puppy for a long time. I was nervous to put a deposit down on puppies I found on Facebook as I didn’t know if I could trust the post. When I found Good Dog and then Julie I was delighted! I reached out to her through Good Dog and asked if she would send me a video of the puppy I was interested in. She replied right away and asked me to give her a bit because the puppies just ate. She then sent me the cutest video of him. I could tell she loved him and he was the most cutest baby in the world. I put a deposit down right away. She sent me information, the pick up was easy. The second payment as well. I knew I was getting a quality puppy, and support. She has since reached out to see how we are doing. Moose is part of our family, and Julie may not know it, but we consider her as family as well. Without Julie, we would not have our Moose.
