Kristine H.

Breeder of Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Kristine H., the breeder behind Taneum Creek Australian Shepherds located in Cle Elum, WA. We are focused on breeding AKC/ASCA registered, fully health-tested, high-quality companion and working dogs to excel and thrive! Strict and informed decision-making is key to each planned breeding. We perform a full Aussie DNA health check, complete OFA certifications on hips and elbows, and yearly OFA eye examinations. Temperament and structure are key elements to ensure happy, healthy puppies.

Q. & A. with Kristine

  • Why did you start breeding?

Being a professional horse trainer for over the past 12 years (Longevity Equine, LLC), I was ready for a change that still allowed me to have always had an interest in breeding and found a few good breed mentors to get me started. I have found joy in breeding and raising Aussies over the last 5 years, but truly enjoy the training and competition end of it as well.
  • What makes your program special?

We only will consider breeding dogs that have a clear DNA panel, OFA, and are registered with either ASCA and/or AKC. Our dogs are family, and pups are raised in our home.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
