Meet the breeder

I'm Marci S., the breeder behind Tango Wool Labradoodles located in Otis, MA. Where every Paw counts🐾 My life has been defined by a lifelong devotion to dogs—a journey that began at Holliston College in Massachusetts, where I trained as a Veterinary Technician. That medical foundation deepened my passion for canine health and reinforced my desire to make dogs my life’s work.At 20 years old, I began working with the world’s finest English Labrador Retrievers, a breed I proudly raised for 28 years. This extensive experience paved the way for remarkable opportunities, including working in search and rescue with the state police and providing specialized Australian Labradoodles to programs in Italy that support and empower children with disabilities. My transition to the Australian Labradoodle was inspired by my own family. When allergies began affecting my grandchildren, I searched for a breed that offered both a service-level intuition and a family-friendly soft wave fleece coat. After a successful "trial run" with my own grandchildren, I knew I had found the perfect breed.Today, at Tango Wool, I incorporate imported German Klein Poodles into our lines to ensure our Australian Labradoodles are strong, healthy, and full of vitality. My mission is to produce vibrant dogs with the beautiful coats and intuitive temperaments they are famous for. These dogs are truly the love of my life, and I look forward to sharing that joy with your family for many years to come.At Tango Wool, we truly believe that every paw counts.

Q. & A. with Marci

  • Why did you start breeding?

I always wanted to be a veterinarian technician which I succeeded. During the journey of becoming a veterinarian technician I was very interested in reproduction in different breeds of dogs. My love of dogs, preceded my vocation.
  • What makes your program special?

One of the many hard working and loving Pioneers of the Breed: My life has been a lifelong mission of bringing joy to others through the love of dogs—a journey that spans over 40 years of dedicated expertise.A Legacy of ExcellenceI am proud to be one of the very early breeders of the Australian Labradoodle in the United States. My work has been instrumental in creating the vital genetic diversity that helped stabilize the breed for breeders across the country and the world. When I first began fifteen years ago, I drew upon my 28-year foundation of raising the world's finest English Labrador Retrievers. I carefully "grafted" my best mothers into the program, starting with early-generation doodles and meticulously progressing to the multigenerational Australian Labradoodles we breed today. By incorporating imported German Klein Poodles to broaden the bloodlines, we have achieved over 10 generations of solid breeding defined by health, structure, and beauty.Recognized PassionOur commitment to the breed even caught the attention of Animal Planet, who spent an afternoon at our home filming our dogs and sharing our story with the world. This professional recognition is a testament to the high standards we maintain at Tango Wool. Our Global Impact & HeartWhat truly makes us special, however, is the joy we have been able to give to hundreds of families throughout the years. From donating dogs to specialized programs in Italy that support children with disabilities to receiving photos and updates from our families, my mission has always been about the comfort and joy these dogs provide. The Art of the Perfect MatchMy medical background as a Veterinary Technician and decades of training experience, including search and rescue with the state police, inform our unique matching process. We don’t just sell puppies; we evaluate every litter for seven weeks using early stimulus programs and keen observation. By getting to know our families individually, we match the proper temperament and coat of each puppy to the perfect home.Every morning and every night, the letters and photos I receive from my families remind me why I do this. These dogs are the love of my life, and at Tango Wool, we Truly believe that every paw and puppy counts.
