I'm Sarah W., the breeder behind Temple Gates Pugs located in Pahoa, HI. We focus on intentional breeding so that we can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. We enjoy training our dogs, competing in conformation shows, and spending lots of time with them doing a variety of other activities! We love our dogs dearly and are so proud of their accomplishments.

Why did you start breeding?
I was given my first show dog, he is 12 now. I had bred him to my girl to get our next show dog but she was only so-so. I bred him to a nicer girl and got the boy in my photo above from that breeding. He is a GCHB and a specialty winner along with his CD in obedience and a Rally Advanced title holder. I have not had much chance to breed since him but am starting to now with my new girl. I hope to produce my next show starWhat makes your program special?
I health/genetic test my dogs. I do not send them out young. I will be a part of your life and stand by you if you ever have questions or needs. I would always take the puppy/dog back no matter what.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD), Pug Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
