Meet the breeder

I'm Holly H., the breeder behind Thalassa Golden Retrievers located in Laurens, SC. I am a Mother of 4, Grandmother of 6, and a full-time Realtor. I thought my plate was full, BUT something was missing. One day, I spotted two beautiful Goldens on the streets of Columbia, and it just clicked!! Having Goldens back in my life has filled my heart with love and laughter once again.

Q. & A. with Holly

  • Why did you start breeding?

Having lost a Golden at only 7 years of age, my mission became simple but vital: to help restore the Golden Retriever's health and longevity. Using OFA-certified, genetically tested dogs and careful, selective pairings, I am dedicated to preserving the loyal, loving Golden temperament and structure while improving health and longevity.
  • What makes your program special?

All puppies are bred to meet the GRCA Golden Retriever Standard. They are whelped and raised in my home using the Puppy Culture program. My primary goal is to provide you with a puppy that embodies the loving Golden temperament, sound structure, and the assurance that all genetic health testing and OFA Certifications have been completed on both parents before breeding.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
