I'm Doniqua, the breeder behind The Bomb Poms located in New Braunfels, TX. We raise beautifully distinguished Pomeranians of exquisite character and presence to the AKC standard. They live in our home on three beautiful acres of land. Our poms are all part of our family. They are our cherished pets first, and occasionally they have puppies that we let go to loving homes.
Q. & A. with Doniqua
Why did you start breeding?
I used to raise and show rabbits. I learned a lot about genetics! We had our first litter of Pomeranians and that started my new passion. It’s been over 20 years now, I still love this breed and I’m still learning everyday!
What makes your program special?
I am very proud about how we raise our puppies. I clean each puppy after birth, which imprints them to the human touch and smell. The puppies get held many times a day. As they grow, they get use to all kinds of sounds of the home. This makes them stronger, friendlier, more outgoing, confident, and makes the transition to your home easier. We truly want you to find your perfect healthy happy puppy, and we want it to be match for a lifetime.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream parti, orange, cream, black, white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
