I'm Karla L., the breeder behind THE DACH HOUSE ♡ located in Perris, CA. At The Dach House, we are dedicated to thoughtfully raising exceptional Miniature Dachshunds and placing them in loving, lifelong homes. Our breeding program is built on a foundation of health, temperament, structure, and breed preservation, with every pairing carefully planned to produce puppies that are as sound as they are beautiful. Our journey began with a deep appreciation for the Dachshund breed, but it didn’t take long for that admiration to become a lifelong passion. The intelligence, loyalty, and unmistakable personality of these remarkable dogs captured our hearts and inspired us to become preservation-focused breeders committed to producing puppies of the highest quality. Every puppy is raised with intention, love, and the highest standards of care from the very beginning. We are honored to share this extraordinary breed with families who value responsible breeding and are looking for a healthy, well socialized companion to cherish for years to come.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have owned Dachshunds over 28 years. I have fostered and adopted dachshunds. They will always hold a piece of my heart. The next natural step in wanting to better the breed is to breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am a small, in home breeder. My dogs are my pets first, they are loved and spoiled. They go on family vacations, outings and participate in dachshund events in our community. I strive on being an ethical breeder and take my dogs health into consideration when breeding. My dachshunds are AKC registered, DNA tested and OFA and CHIC certified. All pups Go home on spay and neuter contracts. Pet homes only, no breeding rights.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, chocolate, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Karla

Karla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Karla partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,500 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“AKC limited registration, deworming, first round of vaccinations, puppy socialization, puppy starter kit. Deposit is non refundable. Deposit can be transferred to another litter.”

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
