Meet the breeder

I'm Karla L., the breeder behind The Dach House located in Perris, CA. We are proud to offer our beautiful Dachshund puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Q. & A. with Karla

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love for Dachshunds go back to my childhood days when our first dachshund was a rescued, red short haired dachshund. I have owned several short hair dachshunds who were mostly rescued. I fell in love with the long haired miniature dachshund when I acquired my first LH mini, Whiskey. My dachshund family continues to grow.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a small breeder. My dogs are my pets first, they are loved and spoiled. They go on family vacations, outings and participate in dachshund events in our community.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, chocolate, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
