I was raised on a ranch and spent years caring for animals with guidance from my parents. My dachshunds are in home raised and exposed and loved on my many, including 7 grandkiddies.
Q. & A. with Ruth
Why did you start breeding?
18 1/2 years later after my Reggy passed I decided I wanted to help continue this amazing breed and start my own proper breeding program with the help of my daughter that has been breeding amazing minis for years. The name The Dachshund Den is loving memory of my first Dachshund Reggy. I was always sewing him Dachshund Dens to burrow in.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program will start in 2026. Our girls are still growing and need time <3 . We are small micro kennel with focus on each and every one of them individually, loved and spoiled.
