Meet the breeder

I'm Marie S., the breeder behind The Doxie Bar located in Calhoun, GA. We find so much fulfillment in providing loving canine companionship to other homes! The loyalty & loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience when adopting a Doxie Bar puppy!

Q. & A. with Marie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I don’t know that I had a choice in leaning to breed. We grew up with animals being a part of our lives. When I was a little girl my dad raised hamsters, fish, dogs, and at one point he brought home a spider Monkey. My first pet was an all white duck. Lucky Ducky. I think some people are just born to love animals! That would be an accurate description of me!!
  • What makes your program special?

The amount of time and care I devote to my puppies. I start potty training at 5 weeks. They are taught family manners form the moment they are born. We health test all our breeding dogs. We teach puppies to be a part of a family from day 1. If you choose a Doxie Bar puppy-they will already be used to sounds of a home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, fawn (isabella) and cream, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
